Brainspotting

It may be that the origin of your symptoms is caused by an unpleasant experience you have had. This one is like an unresolved situation that has then lodged itself in your body. This happens when an event is so intense that it cannot be handled and processed. A trauma occurs. Your body is able to store this moment, as it were, to park it. This is important because it allows you to continue functioning. At the same time, it is not healthy to keep walking around with this for the rest of your life, because it can negatively affect your quality of life. For example, you are always alert, avoid situations, or you no longer react appropriately to a situation. Brainspotting therapy helps you cope with these situations.

Brainspotting is a trauma processing method developed in the United States by psychotherapist Dr David Grand. In this method that is mainly non-verbal, the therapist uses a pointer to find the eye position that gives access to the area in the brain where the trauma is stored. The so-called Brainspot. The brain and body then unerringly knows what to do and comes to processing which can involve all kinds of physical -and emotional-experiences. Brainspotting works quickly and powerfully with many clients. Click here if you want to make an appointment.
